The Mediator PCI 1200SX is a busboard designed to give towered A1200s active PCI slots. The mediator supports busmastering in all slots as well as 32bit DMA with a 4GB address space and is capable of transferring at 132MB/sec between cards and 50MB/sec to the A1200. The mediator can also use part of the RAM located on the graphics card as a DMA buffer, which is extremely fast memory compared to the Amiga's own Fast RAM, and in many cases is 10 times as fast. It contains both AT and ATX power connectors, allowing the busboard as well as the Amiga to be powered from a standard PC power supply. It has been reported that the Mediator does not work with the Viper 1240 or Viper 1260. The Mediator 1200SX is designed to be used with one of the following tower systems.
