Zorro II SCSI hostadapter, introduced summer 1990
The card was made by C-Ltd. According to an advertisement of the distributor Intelligent Memory,
key features are:
- full compatibility to the SCSI standard
- "Since the Kronos avoids DMA-operation, frequently appearing problems of
this transfer mode are by-passed from the first"
- fast on-board-cache
- high transfer rates
- SCSI-NET ability (incl. booting from remote harddisk)
- high-speed operation with SCSI laser printers as well as with SCSI scanners
This SCSI card does not support DMA and does not use the RDB (Rigid Disk Block) standard which is used by most hard drive controllers. The settings for the card are stored in the EEPROM
