Fischer Monitor Switch
A relais-based monitor-switch by Fischer Hard- and Software, ca. 1992.
This switch is for the monitor signal only - no keyboard, no mouse.
It was intended for bridgeboard users with a separate VGA card on the PC-side.
The switch cannot be recommended for higher resolutions than 640x480, since there
is no amplification of the signal as in "real" KVM-switches.
The use of relais is considered to be particularly careful with the monitor.
Details:
- 1 sub-d 15-pin male connector (to monitor)
- 2 sub-d 15-pin female connectors (to gfx boards)
- toggle switch
- metal case
- external power supply (9V) with a firmly mounted cable
Hint:
If it does not work any more, replace the LEDs inside, especially the double-pack
(the red ones in the photo).
