The Amber is responsible for scandoubling and flicker fixing the Amiga's native display (~15.5Khz) to ~31Khz for output to a standard PC VGA/SVGA monitor. It is only found in a few models of Amiga such as the A3000, A3000T and A3500 however is was also available on a separate card called the A2320 for use in other Amigas.
